About College
The College is named after an educational philanthropist Sri JagarlamudiChandramouli. The College is sponsored by Nagarjuna Education Society, Guntur (Regd.No. 56 of 1967) and was inaugurated on 22-06-1991 by Hon'ble Justice (Retd.) S.Parvatha Rao the then Judge of High Court of A.P. and is affiliated to the Acharya Nagarjuna University, having permission of Andhra Pradesh State Government and approval of affiliation of Bar Council of India (BCI).
Initially, the College was run on the premises of JKC College, the parent institution. In the year 1998 it was shifted to the building built exclusively for the Law College. Up to the year 2000 the College was exclusively an evening Law College. In the year 2000 the evening session ceased to operate as per the policy of BCI and started functioning during day time. In the year 2001 the 5 Year B.A.,LL.B. course was introduce, during the academic Year 2023-24 the 5 Year B.B.A LL. Bwas started.During the academic year 2024-25 LL.M. Programmewith two Specialisations i.e., Constitutional Law and Administrative Law &Corporate Law and Securities Law is started. At present the College offers 3 Year LL.B. Course with an intake of 180 seats in three Sections, 5 Year B.A.,LL.B.Course with an intake of 120 seats in two sections,5 Year BBA LL.B.Course with an intake of 60 seats in one section and LL.M. (Constitutional Law) with an intake of 20 seats and LL. M, with a total intake of 400 seats per year. (Corporate Law) with an intake of 20seats.
The College now is run in the main block and west block and has all the infrastructure required for a Law College.The college has separate provision for the Management Committee, Secretary & Correspondent, Principal, two Staff rooms, Office, two Ladies Waiting rooms, Library, Moot Court, Auditorium, Legal Aid Clinic, Alumni room, Carrier Guidance Cell, Computer Centreand 28 classrooms. The classrooms are well furnished and properly ventilated.
Class room teaching is given top priority. Every Tuesday student participated programmes like debate, moot court etc. are conducted. Sports and Cultural activities are also encouraged. The strength of the College is the Management and its bona fides. The Management constantly endeavours to provide the best possible facilities towards attaining its desired objectives of providing quality education and selflessly strives for the betterment of the College.
The College so far secured 12 prizes in Moot Court competitions. These prizes are won at places like Bombay, Pune, Goa, Bangalore, Visakhapatnam, Kozhikode, Lucknow and Guntur. The College since the year 2020 has been conducting Moot Court Competition. 32 Teams from all over the Country have been participating in the competition. The Fourth J C C L Moot Court Competition was conducted on 1st and 2nd February 2025. The fifth J C C L Moot Court Competition will be conducted on 7th and 8th feb 2026.
